Wow! What a week; it has been an incredible week of ups and downs here as we work with all those involved with both .match, Lawson’s Shadow, Gun/Mode and Salty Studios in general. It has been such a ride working with a variety of teams and groups from the publication team at Salty who helped us navigate the launch and keep an eye on things as well as two amazing groups (Tas Game Makers and Australian Game Devs) who gave support to the team as they developed.
“To everyone who supported us! We made top #10 trending on the Google Play Store”
So, what’s happening from here onwards? Well, surprisingly a lot! Some of the UM team will be assisting the Salty Studios team with some projects, whilst myself and some new friends will be working on a variety of new experiences; some a bit fun and interesting and some which hold a very close spot in our lives.
But firstly some updates with “.match” - we have heard so much positive feedback and we thank everyone who has reviewed the game. We are looking into some of the issues that seem to be plaguing the Android versions of the game. So check out our quick little development road map for “.match”.
We plan to role out three major updates before the end of the year just to get the game where to we want it to be. So here is a small breakdown of what to expect:
1.3 “Medkit” - This patch will focus mainly on issues that are plaguing some of the Android models. We can see from the crash report that the game is running smoothly on some devices and OS’s but isn’t great on others as well, so this patch should address a fair few of these issues moving forward. ETA is for October.
1.4 “Power Up” - This patch will see us work on expanding some of the existing game modes as well as tweaking new game modes. We have received great feedback and want to expand the options available for players. ETA is for November.
1.5 “Festive” - A nice update to end the year that will see some small cosmetic changes as well as a new game mode which will see players do their best to score presents and not a lump of coal for Christmas. ETA is for December.
As for everything else, we will be sharing more updates (most likely post-PAX) about what we are working on.
