So whilst all this stuff has been going on in regards to Smash @ GUF and Salty Studios game development, something that I have been seeing a lot of late is PR breakdowns. So I thought why not! Let's talk about our scene:
1. Trucks - 1863 | Ryu |
The king himself, Trucks has been since day one even before Smash @ GUF, the guy to beat. After going through various mains and strong performances as well as numerous titles, Trucks is the ceiling the scene aims to hit but the top 4 do give him a run for his money and in some cases take the trophy.
2. Gerald - 1782 | Lil Mac |
Boy king is the boy boxer, with the hair like Mac, Gerald comes out swinging every tourney he can and gets the results he wants. With strong ground game and control he consistently shows why he is one of the best players in the scene (currently playing).
3. Chins - 1729 | Mario/Olimar |
I don't like writing about myself, i get wins sometimes and i lose sometimes that's about the most of it.
4. Kharn - 1702 | R.O.B/Cloud |
The robot himself, Kharn is R.O.B, he doesn't own the game but places top 5 consistently and takes games and sets of the top 3 even more so. A skilled player and one who can address the situation he is in with precise calculations makes him a real threat.
5. Basty - 1651 | Everyone |
Arguably the most well known player in all of Australian Smash, Basty is a long time supporter with the roster of characters to match. A joy to watch on the screen and a big laugh when he banters, Basty will do one of two things: Wreck you in game or in real life.
6. Tezz - 1617 | Villager |
The gate keeper as he is so referred to often, Tezz is the ceiling for our mids, sitting on his chair. Whilst providing some difficulty to maybe Basty, Tezz keeps pretty consistent over the rest of the scene with his Run'n'Go tactic of play.
7. NZMGOW - 1597 | Ike |
He plays Ike, he plays defensively and he is scary! Ivan the Russian (he ain't really Russian) is here to smack you with a large sword and cover situations you thought you had avoided. He is a top contender and isn't far from breaking in to that top 5.
8. Ace - 1579 | Mario/Diddy |
One of the newest members, Ace has slid right in with his solid Mario and Diddy plays even having Shiek and Cloud in his pocket when needs be. A strong contender who with more play will be up there with the best of them.
9. Cap Supreme - 1563 | Marth/Mewtwo |
Basty's partner in crime! Cap is one of the oldest members of the scene even winning one in its early days but has come far as the scene evolved, he has mixed placings being knocked out early or in the top 5. A sporadic player if there ever was one.
10. Becslookalike - 1544 | Pikachu/Cloud |
The definition of scene support, Bec has always been a go getter who has aimed high with her results, having taken games and sets from some of the top players Bec is one player who when she knuckles down can bring it to the best.
11. Gand Laf - 1540 | Link/Ganon |
The troublemaker is best known for his quick banter and his even quicker bomb throws. Gand Laf is a strong opponent when he wants to be and if not he is there for the banter and fun, in all honesty, what's not to love about that!
12. MaxKiNG - 1476 | Fox/ZSS |
One of the other main TO's, MaxKiNG is the life blood of the scene and is always up for a battle. A big believer in our players and our scene Max enters every week he can to help the guys get better with multiple match ups and even some swift Fox foot stool combos.
13. GradyTO - 1475 | Ganon/Lil Mac/Bowser |
The newest player on the scene GradyTO has proven himself a loyal player and one committed to learning the game he helps run. He has taken games of a few of the heavy hitters and even sets and all this like Kharn without a console. Who knows maybe he has the secret talent?
